A concise apt-get / dpkg primer for new Debian or Ubuntu users

Here is an excellent concise guide to master how to use apt-get to manage your linux machine and keep it up-to-date. A truly informative read.


I aggree, I have used apt-get in other distros (fedora) and the command line is very powerful, as well as using graphical programs. This is really helpful for people who use Ubuntu also, which is based of Debian. I actually started using Debian on my old Inspirion 7000 and it works great, wireless, display, sound, even wired ethernet! Ubuntu really deserves the awards that it gets.
