Vonage 911 caller put on hold while house burns down.

I don't think I would cancel that land line yet !!

I still dont think VoIP is ready at all for a dedicated line. It is still wise to have a landline, for the fact that 911 is still reliable with that. VoIP is good as a second line, if needed, which is cheaper, for regular calls, but is still not reliable with 911 yet.
